SADAA, 14 Nov — The London-based Saudi owned al-Arabiya TV Saturday said Saudi soldiers fighting Yemeni Shiite rebels in the border arrested rebel leader, Abdullah Ahmad Abdul-Malik al-Huthi, adding “sophisticated surveillance equipment were found with him and he is being questioned. Catching this field commander who has power over his followers is significant in dismantling this gang of rebels.” Al-Arabiya said hundreds of rebels were arrested since the fighting with Saudi armed forces started two weeks ago and quoted Saudi sources as saying “Pakistani nationals are fighting with the Shiite rebels.” In related news, the pro-government website, Naba News Saturday said Yemeni special operations forces launched an offensive against a stronghold of the rebels in the area of Jotham in Harf Sufian and stormed a number of buildings where they were positioned.
